Chances are, he saw what any budding stargazer would expect to see—eye-popping views of the massive lava basins and colossal impact craters that scar the lunar surface.

But if Vike's young neighbour ever spots something strange in the Houston sky, something he can't explain, he won't have to go far to make a UFO report.

Shiny Metallic UFO Over Hayward California

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We were north bound on Mission Blvd in Union City, CA when just after passing Whipple Rd, I noticed a shiny roundish object moving NE.

I had a camera, but when I looked up to take a picture, it was gone within 6 seconds and I couldn't find it floating anywhere. Total time from when I first saw it flying until it disappeared was about 20 seconds.

Weather was warm, with beautiful blue sky with white clouds and this happened at about 3:00 p.m.

According to my husband who was able to spot it while driving, the UFO was flying over freeway 238 and 580 going NE and up at about a 30 degree angle and spotted at about 3000 feet. Speed may have been 50-100 MPH.

It was not spinning and it was all a shiny metallic trapezoid with a right angle on the lower left object and a flat bottom.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We live on an island in the Nanaimo Harbour. Our house is right on the water facing the Sunshine Coast. My roommate went out on our deck to have a smoke and he call my wife and I outside to look at an odd light that was hovering just above the mountains to the northwest.

My wife and I looked and couldn't figure out what it was. I grabbed the binoculars and took a better look. I couldn't believe what we were seeing, the light was actually a center light and five other lights around an oval object.

It just was hovering there for about 3 minutes, then turned 180 degrees and moved slightly to the right. Then a second oval appeared just up and to the left of the first one. They just hovered there for a few minutes.

All three of us seen both of these ovals through the binoculars. After we all took turns looking at them, the first one started to fade out. The lights went out counter clockwise and then the center light went out. A minute or so later the second one did the same.

We have never seen anything like this before and would like to know if anyone else seen anything similar tonight.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Me and a friend were night fishing, when seemed from nowhere a huge object appeared in the middle of the sky and started moving from west to east very slow. We couldn't tell if it was one big object with four red lights, or four different objects traveling together.

We both have never ever seen anything that looked like that. Thought it might be a group of helicopters, but there was no sound and no white lights whatsoever and it moved very slow. I'm 47 and have never in my life seen anything that looked like that.

It was truly mind blowing. So anyway, as soon as I got home I started searching the internet to see if anything was reported and found this site. Myself and my friend are skeptics, but this really made us wonder what it was and agreed it was nothing either of us have ever seen.

I'm curious to read the news tomorrow and see if anyone else reported this. There was another boat fairly close to us, and they also turned out their lights a few times and looked like they was seeing what we saw, but they left so I didn't get to talk to them.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was just a kid between 7-9 years old, so it had to be in the early sixties. I am not sure exactly which year it was, I'm guessing between 63-65. I lived in Cynthiana, Indiana with my mother and brothers and sisters.

We lived outside of town approximately 1/2 mile. There was only two houses on that road, surrounded by cornfields. There was a mill on the south part of town and that’s where our friends lived.

You could see their place from ours across the field. It was midnight or later when we were awoke by a bright light. I remember going out in the yard with my family. It looked like the sun. A big red ball at night.

It looked like it was just above our friends house as they saw it too. I'm thinking it lasted several minutes. We were young, so my mother made us go back in the house before it was gone, but I remember it lighting up the inside of the house.

I have never forgotten this incident and I remember people talking about it at church. I have thought about it over the years and I just wanted someone to know what I saw. Thank you.

Ex Pilot Observes Bright Orange Lights Seen From Devizes Wiltshire UK

Hi Brian, regarding your orange objects seen over Heathrow on 27 June 2010. Strangely, a month before this date, at about 11:00 p.m. on 2 May 2010 I saw three very bright orange lights in the sky. These were initially in line east - west.

I saw these from Devizes Wiltshire which is a little to the west of Heathrow from a pilot's point of view. After 2 minutes they suddenly started moving in differing directions across the sky. Like your sighting I used a small telescope to try to see some structure from the one that moved nearest my location, but it looked like a really bright star or planet.

No flicker and none of them were moving with the wind which was wnw 8mph. I know that because I had been paragliding that evening.

I put the sighting on a UFO sighting site and someone in West London excitedly reported he had seen orange objects moving across the sky toward the west (i.e. toward Heathrow Airport).

I am an ex-pilot (not professional) and sky watcher of decades but I can say I have never seen anything like what I saw that night. Nor can I work out what they were. My feeling was that they were very high in our atmosphere but there was no cloud to help discern their altitude. They could have been 2000 feet or 200,000 feet high.

When these orange 'Venuses' were stationary and my thought was military flares because we live near Salisbury Plain mod danger area and see these lots. But when they started to move in different directions I realized they were nothing 'normal' up in the starry sky.

Although I have seen some things in the sky over the years that I cannot identify as 'normal' sky phenomena or human vehicles, these orange objects have had a most profound effect on me. When I watched them move apart across the sky I knew I was seeing something really strange. But other people seem to find it easy to dismiss what I have seen as normal.

They say it must have been something natural or human. I know pretty much everything that is up 'there' and I ask them to give me an explanation. They cannot but remain sure they have a prosaic explanation. But truly, what I saw was profoundly unusual.

Another Heathrow event that happened a couple of years back has also made me feel we are seeing phenomena that we should be trying to scientifically understand. Because these things are in the sky on a regular basis challenging our view of what reality is. I was en-route on the motorway to somewhere else and I stopped in at Heathrow to try out a new camera. (I used to live nearer the airport and have a affection for the place.)

Moving aircraft on short finals give great testing conditions for cameras. I took a number of photos of jets crossing the hedge of 27R on a sharp, sunny day. We could see everything in the sky very clearly, in fact we noticed how many aircraft were going east-west at mid and high altitudes over the airport on N9 airway. We could see easy jet orange 737s at 20,000 feet descending into Bristol, it was that clear.

But we didn't see the UFO that I noticed on one of the photos a day later. I had taken a photo of a Fokker 100 jetliner and high up, in the background is an object shaped like a dark grey cigar with a semi pointed end. I thought it might be a bin-bag balloon but the temperatures were too low for such a sun-heated black bin bag balloon to work.

What is odd is that the sun was in the south or south-west and this object is sideways to the sun. The sun should have high lighted its side up but this isn't how it looks. It looks grey and slightly faint as though it is not completely there. I found another object with these strange semi-real lighting characteristics in a paragliding photograph. Both objects, while shaped differently, look very far away which would make them huge but would explain the lack of clarity. I could email you the photos if it interested you.

Unusual Object Moves Across The Sky Over Warrington UK

Hello Brian, my name is (name removed) and I live in Warrington UK. It's halfway between Liverpool and Manchester.

I was outside at 23.15, looking up at the stars as I had my last cigarette of the day. I noticed a single star get significantly brighter, just south of the Plough constellation. I watched it as it remained in place for around a minute. It appeared from nowhere as if powering up. No movement.

Then it started to move west at a speed similar to that of a jet at altitude. There was no perceivable acceleration. It was still, then moving. It moved across the sky about two hand lengths (if hands outstretched). This took about 10 seconds. During this time I argued with myself:

Shooting star? Too slow.

Helicopter? Too high, too quiet.

Jet? Stationary? No! and no flashing lights.

Then it moved straight up from a horizontal to vertical path and faded slowly away. The moment it disappeared, 2 parallel shooting stars came from the north behind me and across the path it had just flown.

I had not drank anything and the cigarette was 'straight'.

I hope this makes sense as I'm still a little excited and hope it is of interest to you.

Large Slow Moving UFO Over Saint-Lazare Quebec

Good day, my name is (name removed) and I've never done this before and tried sending from your website but not sure if it worked. Here is my story from St-Lazare, QC.

I was sitting in my bedroom in my basement and had my window cracked opened because I was smoking cigarettes inside. Can only say it appeared for sure between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. I didn't think to look at the time. I work nights so was fully awake when I heard a sound coming from far away, like a vibration.

I first thought it was a freight train because sometimes at night due to being quiet you hear them all the way here. So this hovering sound (can't really describe it) was getting louder to the point that got my attention. I got up and went to my window to see if I could make out the sound and when I looked up in the sky, and saw lights in a triangular shape I think.

The closest it looked like was a big plane (Boeing?) but with lights on the under body. I could clearly see 3 white lights on it's belly (?) and 2 white lights were the tip of the wings would be. These lights were aiming straight down, but not bright enough to reach all the way down.

They kind of looked like the lights on Ironman from the movies (sorry best I can think of). The object was in the lowest part of the clouds I assume because I could see hazy clouds moving under the lights. The object flew by over my house very slowly (too slow and low for a big plane to hold it's altitude) and headed north west of my location and seems to have come from the south.

It moved at a speed an helicopter would move, but was bigger and did not sound like one at all. I tried filming the object with my phone, but just got this thing two weeks ago and not yet 100% familiar with it. I got dressed as fast as I could and drove my pick up in the general area were I thought I could see it again. I didn't get to view it again.

I was watching the news, but no mention now at 6:45 a.m. I've lived here for almost 15 years and know for fact that airplanes always fly at very high altitude and always in the same direction, east/west or west/east.

Never ever north and never this low. There are 2 small local airports but they are closed at night. Come to think of it, this is the second strange thing I've seen in the sky over my house recently. This event tonight and a military helicopter flew over my house this week in the morning.

I was with a buddy of mine and couldn't believe how low this guy was flying. Below radar from what I gather from movies, barely 20 feet over the trees. Related incident, I don’t know and I might be totally wrong on this, but can't explain what I saw.

Bright Light Comes To A Hover Over Midland Ontario

Well I just wanted to tell you about my UFO sighting in between the days of April 18th 2011 and April 26th 2011. My location is Midland, Ontario Canada and it was late I guess around 10:00 p.m. –11:00 p.m.

I went outside for a smoke and was looking at the beautiful stars, when out of nowhere a very bright light appeared.

It hovered for a couple seconds then started to move to the right very smoothly then it stopped got bright, then dim. It moved a bit more to the right and went yellow in color got smaller then just disappeared.

It really freaked me out and it definitely was not a plane. Am I the only one who seen this UFO.

Red Orange Fireballs Seen Over Peterborough Ontario

My wife and I have seen 2 cases like this over the past 2 weeks. The first over our house in Peterborough; I went out around 10:00 p.m. to put the rubbish out and right in front of me just above the rising moon was a reddish-orange fireball.

I say fireball because the light looked more like a flame than a light. Bigger than the lights from an aircraft and one constant mass, no flashing.

I called my wife who happened to be close by and she came out and watched it with me as it moved towards us and overhead. I grabbed our binoculars and gave them to her while I went to get the camera. She tracked it in the binocs and saw a black oval mass with flame towards the rear. As it went overhead the flame subsided and she could still see the black mass, to large to be a meteor. I tried to catch it with the video camera but couldn't get it in frame and we lost it.

The 2nd last night from our hotel room in Huntingdon. I looked out of the window around 10:00 p.m. and saw a similar object approach from the right. It crossed at a speed a little quicker than a helicopter. It was bright orange, more light than flame this time. Again I called my wife and we both watched in awe as it sped past. No blinking or flashing just bright orange. It seemed to intensify as it is passed and then we lost it to the left.

Somebody else must have seen these things. They were very clear, low on the horizon and quite large.

Bright Single Coloured Light Over Arklow County Wicklow Ireland

Dear Sirs, last night at 10:30 p.m. (Saturday May 1st) both myself and 3 friends were parked in Arklow by the river Avoca facing north when we saw what looked like a large low flying craft.

I have just read of similar sightings in other area's of the UK and Ireland around the same time. It was not a Chinese lantern or prank. Too fast in a straight line with milli second stops.

It was too hard to gauge the distance, but it’s speeds and the way the lighting changed colour so quickly you could not distinguish what the colours were.

Even more unbelievable was the fact that it seemed to stop and speed off faster than what the eye could see as an image. At the same time it looked as if the lighting or flashing colours were rotating on the craft.

Then it disappeared, there was little to know low cloud in the area at this time?

Three Orange Lights In A Line Over Reykjavik Iceland

Hi there Brian, we found your page on the internet after searching for some pictures of 3 lights in a line UFO, me and my girlfriend saw one tonight in the sky over Reykjavik, Iceland, going faster than an airplane and for sure it was not an airplane.

My girlfriend saw it in first and asked me to look in the sky, and then after 2 seconds I saw it also going straight fast over the north horizon.

These lights where not strong, milder than the stars and they looked a little orange and we could not see any shape of it.

Three lights in line, where like one object, they all went the same way in same speed so probably not more than one object.

We are exited about this and wanted to send you an email about it. The truth is out there.

Orange Objects Rose Quickly From The Ground Over Cleveland Ohio

I just saw the same exact thing happen twice within five minutes while sitting in my backyard.

We were near Cleveland, OH. A large, dark orange plume rose quickly from the ground about fifteen to twenty miles away, by my estimation. The outer layer of the object seemed to dissipate, while its core hovered from left to right in the sky for minutes.

Then, the remaining object shot quickly into the sky and soon disappeared into the night sky. First instinct, of course, was to blame fireworks. But the length of time it hovered, coupled with the heights it achieved upon "taking off" made it very strange.

By the way, this event occurred twice the same evening, both within the same hour to hour and a half. Apologies for the delayed response. I rarely check this account. I will do so more often, as I'm interested in similar occurrences.

Boomerang Shaped UFO Lights Up The Sky As It Moves Overhead

Folk, this wasn't in the region you asked about, but the tremendous scale and the opportunity to communicate with someone else who has seen such a thing, motivated me to write. In around 1977 on a night during warm season, I saw something of a similar shape fly "blipping" rapidly northbound across the western horizon. It seemed very clear that it must have been immense, and at a great distance from us, and moving at many times.

Additional Information:

Writing this on phone, apologies, will remember how easily an email can get messed up on the phone.

The craft, or energy field, or whatever it was, appeared to be flying on it’s side, leading edge being the pointed central "nose" as one might expect, and a near-perfect boomerang shape was the strong lasting impression.

The speed had to have been greater than almost anything around (at least anything officially acknowledged) at that time with the way that it lit up the sky, crossing and simultaneously filling the whole western horizon, flashing or blipping rapidly as it swooshed in a silent splashy zoom across the whole western quarter of the night sky.

One of the town jocks and I were both facing west and both said something like "what was that." We were not friends and we never spoke of it again, bravery against ridicule in a small town is tough enough just for being oneself announcing something anomalous toward which people are generally socialized to be derisive about and which I had no framework for and likely no corroboration of.

It didn't warrant a second thought for decades. Anyway, this thing was oscillating or flashing light/dark at a rhythm maybe comparable to raking a stick along a picket fence at a smooth cruising speed on bicycle and very lit up in it’s lighted phase.

When I saw the scale of the outlying immensity of the Denver airport, I had a chilling sensation of realization that such craft could potentially be landed there and not much else I could think of could explain flattening and paving such a vast continuous plane in such a mountainous area, just saying'.

Well, my keyboard pulled some annoying shenanigans I've never seen before as I was writing this. I hope it is helpful toward creating a more whole picture eventually and thanks for writing about your experience. It is the most similar sighting I have found in over ten years of occasional search. This time it just came my way via an Astronomy page.

Orange Objects Over Omaha Nebraska

Good evening, I just witnessed a similar event here in Omaha, Nebraska USA. My roommate and I for the last thirty minutes watched as a group of 3-10 orange bulbs flew from the northern sky to the southwest sky and occasionally north to east.

We witnessed 10 groups fly over. Neither of us have previously seen a UFO, our third roommate suggested maybe they were birds lit up by the city lights. They were moving from the northern sky to southern and out of sight within 10-12 seconds.

Higher than a plane, and moving much faster than a jet or satellite. I was amazed at what we saw, came inside after 10 minutes of no sightings. And Google this topic, saw your post maybe they are related. Keep me posted if you hear of other stories similar to this.

Bright Orange Light Appears To Be On Fire Seen From Hamilton Ontario

Good Afternoon, on the evening of November 11, 2011 around 530 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., my son and I were driving down the Kenilworth Access and noticed an orange light out over lake Ontario up in the clouds (we were looking northern from our location).

At first I thought it was the moon peeking through the clouds, as the colour looked like a nice bright orange, but we found the moon in a different spot and we stared in awe at this light as it seemed to increase in size to a ball of orange and started to look like an exploding ball of fire with some white and yellowish colours as well, with a blazing trail behind it, it headed straight down from the sky towards the lake.

My son being 15 immediately thought it must be an airplane exploding and falling from the sky. I had no idea what it was, as we watched it fall from the sky it seemed to lose its speed/ size and brightness as we approached the bottom of the escarpment, it seemed to vanish somewhere over the lake.

Would this have been a meteor? We’ve been watching the news ever since and there has been no word of any airplane exploding, so we figure it must have been some sort of natural occurrence, like a meteor entering the earth’s atmosphere or maybe a UFO.

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated, I’m glad I seen it with my son, or I would have thought I was going nuts!

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Location is Goldenwest/Edinger in Huntington Beach, Ca. I had just went to my room to go to bed, and as I laid down I was looking out my bedroom window (which I do not have curtains).

It faces our backyard and the school/park directly behind us. Our view out this window is the sky directly above the school/park. For about 2 seconds the sky lit up so bright and lit up my bedroom, it was an eerie feeling, a bright light in the middle of the night that I have never seen before.

I sat up in bed quickly, I felt a very soft kind of a humming sound, kind of like a sound of energy. I felt warmness too. I said to myself, what the heck, then it quickly was gone. Full Description of Event/Sighting: I stepped out on the back porch, lit my cigarette, heard a plane passing over head so I looked up. I watched the plane for a second then I looked west.

I instantly did a double take, because the three lights I saw just over the tree line appeared to be moving toward my direction, but after staring at them I realized they were moving away. They were heading west at a rate of speed I've never seen. By the time I was done with my smoke, they completely disappeared into the clear night sky.

As they ascended, one remained at a lower altitude, but you could clearly see a distance between the two others. It only lasted 6-7 minutes, but I know what I saw, I just don't know what it is. I did research and I follow the online postings and the descriptions of all the other postings are the only thing that match up with what I saw.

They couldn't have been jets. The only noise in the area was clearly from the one that pasted and I'm sure if there were rockets launched off in the everglades, the whole country would be aware of it and the course of the 3 objects more more west then up.

I can see the tiniest of stars in a clear night sky. Those objects went so far they disappeared. At least I can say I saw them for a few at least

I live in Grimsby, Ontario. This evening I drove to St. Catherines with two of my friends. On our way back we were driving through Beamsville (I was driving and had one friend in the front, the other in the back of my car) and as we were coming around a turn in the road I noticed these really strange orange lights, which seemed to be moving over the lake away from shore.

At first there were three and they moved in a sort of triangle shape (like a low-flying plane or something) so I though nothing of it, but then another appeared and they began making extremely odd movements.

Their movements were similar to those medieval slings that you see in movies. Moving in pairs, twirling around each other, but they were not uniform in motion, one would float further away from the others and then switch to the inside.

They were dim orange at first and then went red and then disappeared. So strange. My friend in the front also caught a glimpse for a few seconds, and I myself only saw it for about ten seconds. But as we kept going down the road I was just too rattled not to turn around.

So we went back to a quiet road and turned off the car and waited for them to return but they did not. Tomorrow I expect to investigate by going to the homes and stores around there and asking if they saw anything.

Hello Brian, Unfortunately my sighting was not recent at all. It occurred in 1996 it was in the summer, but I can't recall the month. I know it was the summer because there were leaves on the trees, and I reported it to my boss of my summer job.

He called the police the following day after I told him, but the authorities said they had not received any other reports. The sighting occurred in the Naurshaun area of Pearl River UFO at approximately 4:00 a.m., I know the time because I was stepping out to pick a girlfriend up from a bar that just closed in Nanuet. My cousin was with me, and also witnessed the craft.

My front door faces east, towards Clausland Mt. The craft was travelling east to west directly over my house. When I walked out the door it immediately caught my attention. It had 2 blue lights coming out the rear that looked like a jets exhaust, it had very bright lights underneath so bright that it completely obscured the shape of the craft. (I've never seen lights that large on and aircraft!)

There were 4 in the shape of a diamond, or 3 in the shape of triangle, it’s been so many years that I get mixed up on the lights that were underneath. I watched it slowly cross the sky in amazement much slower than any jets I have seen growing up, but about the speed that a large passenger plane that would look very small to an onlooker on the ground.

After it had passed, I instinctually ran inside and up the stairs to my mother, mind you it is 4:00 a.m. and I’m 19 years old (girlfriend had fake I’d for bar, there was a lot of underage drinking in the 90's). As I ran up the stairs the house began to rattle, and shake, with a loud roar from outside.

To this day I can't figure out how it was moving so slowly in the sky, yet breaking the sound barrier, and with such bright lights. If it was breaking the sound barrier shouldn't have crossed the horizon quickly? I felt scared as if it saw me. It was the first and only UFO experience I have had. Maybe it was military?

Hi Mr. Vike, I am messaging you because me and my friends saw the same thing you saw by Shelbourne, Ontario. We live in Mississauga and went up there for a drive and it was dark. We were by fourth line and noticed a red dot in the sky that stood there for 20 minutes and beamed two lights out of it that were white and red.

We were in awe because we know about these phenomenon's and have been experiencing them for a while. We managed to get video coverage of the thing in the sky and it is undeniably a UFO. All of this happened on Sunday May 1, 2011. It was late and very foggy. I am assured that the UFO was trying to disguise itself in the fog but what was weird was the fact that there was a a central red dot and smaller dots hovering around the larger one.

Mr. Vike, I don't know what to make of this, but I have concluded that it was an extraterrestrial sighting. We even notified the police in Shelbourne and they blatantly asked us "how much we drank for the night?. They were very skeptical but I am more than positive that what we saw was nothing less than a UFO.

Orange Lights Over St. Augustine Florida

This past Friday, 11/11/11, my wife and I were camping down in St.Augustine. It was pretty clear, but there was only a small strip of sky that was visible to me. I was outside the camper and had just finished grilling when I noticed an orange light that I thought was a low flying plane.

I thought it was odd because I have never seen a color like that on any plane (I'm in the navy currently and am up to date on military aircraft). Anyway, I noticed that there were several "planes" in single file behind the leader (perhaps 6 or 7). My wife also witnessed the same thing.

The very strange part was that once they reached a certain point, they seemed to pull a quick vertical climb and quickly dim out of sight. I thought at first they were passing through a cloud, but over the next few minutes I realized that wasn't the case.

Anyway, was just wondering if you had any further details.

My family and I live in Waynesboro, PA (in south central PA a few miles from the MD border and near Raven Rock military installation) and we saw something very similar to what you described. On Saturday evening May 7, 2011 around 9:00 p.m. We saw three (3) bright orange lights, soundless and moving slowly from northeast to southwest.

The lights continued on a straight trajectory and then slowly turned due east. As they turned the lights vanished. All three objects followed the same flight path, the first one was alone, but the other two came in succession about 10 minutes after we spotted the initial light.

The 2nd and third light were visible at the same time and appeared to be about 20-30 seconds behind each other. As they turned both vanished. There was no erratic behavior or acceleration anomalies. Hey there, how's it going? I just decided to watch this new show on OLN, the "UFO Hunters", even though I haven't paid much attention to the show in the past and I still don't, but I've shared the same experience you had mentioned yourself and I figured I'd just open my laptop up and see if I could find any information on what I saw, or if I could find anyone else who had seen the same thing.

Now this all took place in may/June 2006. I've never used the internet then like I do now, so this is why I'm emailing you. I flew to Sydney, Australia, to where I met my wife and we prepared to set off for a journey we knew we'd only see probably once in our lifetime.

We stayed in Sydney for about a week, travelled 13 hours north to a place called Byron Bay where we stayed for about 2 weeks.

Our next stop was a few more hours north to a small town called Hervey Bay where we had stayed and worked for a couple months to build our bank accounts up for the next move further up the east coast.

It was about 10:30pm and we just shared a pizza and decided to go for a walk to town just to see the night life etc..

We heard this very loud cracking/roaring noise almost like a jet would sound when it passed at high speed, but the noise didn't just come and go, it roared in the distance.

We looked behind us, and in the sky we seen this massive "cigar" shaped object that was glowing bright bright blue and was travelling far faster than any plane I've ever seen before.

The light the object was giving off definitely lit the whole sky, and the town below, and we could clearly see way out into the ocean as it was passing.

It wasn't just blue and glowing, it had a tail of colors coming off the back that was easily 2 times longer than the cigar shaped object itself. Immediately I was looking around for people to share the experience with, so we weren't alone with it, but we were the only ones around.

We only seen the object for 15-20 seconds before it swept past the sky and completely vanished. If I was to say how far this was away from us, it was a good 50-60km+ away and I'd have to say it was at least 1500+ feet in the air.

One thing that was consistent though, it wasn't heading "down to earth", it made it’s way from one end of the sky to the other, south to north and it had a very consistent speed that didn't change, and the sound didn't change until it was out of sight.

That's really all I got to say about it. Not sure if it was a meteor, or what it was, we were excited about seeing it, but also curious as to why no one else in the town had seen it and we spent 3 months in that town.

At or around 12:00 Sunday afternoon on May 1, 2011, I was dropping my oldest daughter off for her softball practice at Discovery Park in Downey California. When I exited my van I looked up at a Boeing 747 (British Airways) on final approach into LAX.

Jokingly I said to my two younger daughters, look at that plane, “I bet some of the passengers are returning from the royal wedding.” As I looked at the aircraft I noticed many objects hovering high above it.

At first I dismissed it as a bunch of silver balloons because of the way some flickered in the sun light, but then I realized that whatever it was that I was looking at was well above the aircraft, and if they were balloons then they were really big in order for me to see them so clearly.

It was a windy day and the objects didn’t seem to be affected by that, they stayed in one location except for a few that seemed to move very rapidly from side to side. I would estimate the number of objects to be around 25 to 30 and they where spread around with some being in clusters of 5 or 6 similar to a constellation of stars.

I pointed it out to my 9 and 11 year old girls. My 9 year old said that they looked like birds, and my 11 year old said they looked like sky divers. I pointed it out to another dad and his only comment was that it looked weird.

When I read the post today dated March 16, 2011 and saw the picture of the object I realized that it was seen in the same location of my siting and it looked exactly like the objects I saw, except I saw more then one.

Hello, I think I may have recently spotted some very similar lights flying over Middlesbrough on Friday the 22nd of April. At first I believed them to be Chinese lanterns myself, but they were darting at some speed in a northerly direction without changing altitude and it went on for about an hour from just before midnight.

The strange thing being there was at least fifty of these lights and it looked like some of them were even moving in formation. I`m a psychology student at Teesside University so I tried to rationalize everything, this I couldn't explain.

Also, these lights were all moving in the same direction, whereas the planes all had their own trajectories. I counted approximately 35 lights, but an exact number was difficult as they were moving and there were some light clouds obscuring some of the lights.

I live near the airport in St. Louis which is located due east from where the sighting took place. These lights were not in the normal flight path and I have never witnessed anything like this in my life.

I was on the 40 heading towards downtown from Pincourt area and I actually went all the way to Sources.

About 5 minutes into my journey, I looked up and saw three lights forming triangle. I filmed them and I have a pretty decent video after three takes.

I didn't know what to think really, and I couldn't stop talking about, and my friends just said drop it.

I feel like no one saw this but me. Well I have proof and it happened yesterday evening around 7:00 p.m. or so on 11/11/11.

I recently read a post on your website dated June 11, 2011, about a sighting of 11 red lights over Lansing.

Well I'm here to tell you that I and one other witness on 11/11/11 at approximately 6:10 p.m. at night with a clear dark sky noticed what seems to be the same thing as the June sighting 5 months prior.

There were 11 or 12 reddish orange lights flying in a some what straight line over the city of Lansing, right near the community college.

Things we thought the reddish orange lights could have been, but just can't be. They were too fast for floating lanterns found in Asian culture, they were silent so no sign of helicopters or any type of engine noise, they did not have blinking lights. Things to consider though.

It was veterans day and the airport in Lansing is north of down town Lansing, the lights were traveling from south east to straight north.

I am really glad that I found the June article, this will help me and my witness not look and sound so crazy!

Some people associate them to the gravel areas and to the little men that live in those areas. We had a crop circle that my brother did not report. The area of it is located behind my mom's old house, the area has never been touched since then.

I often wonder about radio active waste or carbons that may have been left behind because of that crop circle.

My brother had heard the dogs barking the previous night. I have had three UFO sighting experiences.

So last night I was walking my dog around 8:00 p.m. when I looked up and saw about 15 of the same lights you described. I live on Seymour St. in Lansing. At first they seemed to be flying in a strange multi-triangular pattern, you could tell they were individual because the formation drifted apart and you could tell they were moving independently.

There was no sound whatsoever. There were no flashing lights, just what looked to be burning embers as you described. They were orange red and glowing. Not just one wave came through. I immediately ran home to get my fiancé and neighbors to see it and they saw the tail end of the formation as they one by one started to disappear into the clouds.

Two more came through 5 minutes later, and then 5 minutes after that a lone glowing light came through. This was the strangest thing I've ever seen in the sky. I didn't have my phone with me, so no pictures, but they looked exactly like the photos on your site.

Red Lights Seen Over Two Nights At Northcliff Johannesburg South Africa (Additional Information: Update !)

Time: 7:43 p.m. and Between 9:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. for November 7, 2011.

Hi Brian, On the 2nd November 2011, I was sitting outside on my balcony, when I stood up and looked behind me to see a steady red light in the sky.

The time was 7:43 p.m. The light was not moving, very still. I did not know what to think or even make of it.

My fiancé is a pilot, so I intended to take a picture with my cell phone, so I could show him. Before I could take photo, the light went off for about 2 seconds, then on again, then very quickly moved to the right and vanished. This light was slightly bigger than the brightest star I could see at the time.

Then last night 7th November 2011. My fiancé and I were sitting on the balcony. Time was between 9:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Something caught me eye and I looked up and in exactly the same spot was the red light.

My fiancé stood up to look with me.

This time the red light was flying very fast, it flew towards us, but at a very odd way and as before no sound at all. Just as it past the trees I saw the light go off and then on and then vanish.

I was able to take 3 photo's and a video. Although it can not be seen in the video, and it comes out like a star in the photo's.

As my fiancé is a pilot, he said planes can not fly the way this object flew, and to fly at that speed, it would have to be doing Mach 200.

I must admit we both felt creepy afterwards. Can you or someone please explain what we saw.

Thank you for your reply. Since my email to you, I saw the red light 2 more times. On Wednesday 8th, November and the 10th November. After having family members living near by see Wednesday’s sighting.

I started thinking this was just too obvious. I was in luck on the Thursday. At 7:00 p.m. I saw the red light on the horizon, my fiance and I ran into the street to get a clearer view.

Some passing cars also saw it and stopped to watch. It was travelling rather fast. All of us taking pictures, getting either scared or excited that it was so clear and coming straight for us. Then the wind suddenly pick up and it came tumbling down, to crash land right in front of us.

We all laughed with big relief when we realised that it was a Chinese lantern.

It all made sense. Someone in our area has been sending lanterns into the sky every day. Hence it was always coming from the same direction and flying very oddly.

One woman noticed a pink orb sitting stationary over western Scarborough. The another woman claimed the color was yellow ? One woman even took pictures of it with her cell phone. They witnessed it for some minutes while walking.

It was a clear night and the stars were very visible where this object kind of went dim and then simply vanished. This object was round, red, it did not blink or change colour. It appeared to start to move of course twice only to correct itself and continue in the direction it was traveling.

It was not a plane as there was a plane in the sky flying away from this object. The lights were flashing and it was very visible it was a plane. This other object was unique and nothing I’ve ever seen or witnessed. Myself and my friend were in awe to say the least at what we were seeing.

I saw over 30 golden lights in the sky last night around 7:30 p.m. I was near Blanchette Park. They were all about the same height an all had a single gold light and were moving toward the airport.

This went on for ten minutes and several people came out of their houses, which is why I was sure there would be something on the news or internet about it.

I finally Googled "lights over St Charles and found your sight. They may have been home made hot air balloons with candles. Maybe a prank or a remembrance. It was very odd. Did you hear about this?

On the evening of the 9th November 2011, I was travelling from N1 Highway into Beyers Naude Drive towards the west (Honeydew Direction) when we spotted five to seven orange lights up in the sky. They looked to be just hanging up there, shimmering in orange/goldish colour.

My name is (name removed) and I live Near JHB international airport. My Son noticed, what he said was a strange looking aircraft, and we went out to check. A series of red lights were moving at what seemed like the same speed as the normal aircraft, maybe a little slower.

They moved in a straight line at what looked to be the same direction as the runway, some veered off to the west and others continued in a southerly direction. From the time we noticed them, we counted thirteen.

They were solid red orange lights slightly pulsating, but not flashing we could see some of them slowly fading in the distance and disappearing. One actually went below a plane that had just taken off, some one at the airport or in the aircraft must have seen something.

I entered a search on the net to see if anyone else had seen this and came across your article about the orange lights over South Africa. Hello. I saw your post on Google, after searching for "bright orange lights lake Ontario". My boyfriend lives along the shore of lake Ontario on the very eastern edge, near Pulaski, New York and the mouth of the Salmon River. The first week of November 2011 ( we are not sure if it was the 3rd, 4th, or 5th) we saw a very bright orange light directly west.

At first we thought it might b the moon, but I disregarded that immediately as it was not as big and in the wrong direction. Maybe a planet? But again in the wrong direction. I used the star walk application on my phone to see if it was a star, yet there were few and none very bright in that location.

The light stayed hovering above the water for 30 minutes, then descended. After returning from our walk, the light was back, we viewed it through binoculars. We saw that it was 2 orange lights. Too far above the water to b a boat, too low to be an aircraft, too steady too be a flare.

The second sighting of orange lights went into the water after about 20-30 minutes. My boyfriend thought that he saw smoke or steam when they hit the water. He has seen these same lights too a lesser extent 3 or 4 times, but this time they were alot more prominent.

According to his neighbor, he has been seeing them since the 1970's, though he isn't very reliable.

We are both very skeptical in regards to UFO's, but this was an unknown flying object. Known to someone maybe, but not to us. My boyfriend tells me that he believes there is a military zone in the middle of lake Ontario, so it could have been a drone, or perhaps a bomb of some sort yet it was absolutely silent as you said in your post.

I am writing so that you know you were not the only one to see them. We saw them way down on the eastern end as well. If you get any information about what they were please let me know and I will do the same! I'm glad to have found someone to share this very odd/unique experience with. Thank you.

To my amazement, another UFO to the east also came along and stopped, then one seemed to signal the other with a flash they were quite a distance apart one side of the city to the other, this went on between them each flashing a yellowish light at the same time.

My friends who were a mile or so away from me, noticed the same event and came rushing home to tell me all excited as they were new to UFO spotting. ( my fault showing them)

What seemed like 3 minutes passed when thy both sped off at very high speed both to the west. This kind of thing is very common here in Christchurch, and not much escapes my eyes. Happy hunting.

Hey Brian, I do not know what you can do with the information or for my peace of mind, but last night, November 6th, 2011 between 7:45 pm and 7:50pm in Cape Coral, Fla., myself first then my wife and two sons seen an orange fire ball. I was on the phone at the time speaking to a friend of mine who heard the whole thing.

I say fire because when it shot up from behind the tree line, but in the distance of the tree line it looked like a giant fire ball. It shot up on an angle fast as hell up into the southeast sky. My friend heard me say what the hell is that, then I yelled for my oldest son to come outside.

My wife and younger son came out with him. I then told my wife to get the binoculars. We all saw the same round orange glowing ball through the binoculars. We observed the ball through the binoculars for about 4 to 5 minutes going higher and higher, till it was out of view.

I mentioned in the beginning my peace of mind, I said that because I reported a sighting a few years ago to Mufon. I had 4 other witnesses to that one. The object was so close to me, above my head that I could have hit it with a rock if I wanted to. It was bigger then a commercial plane about 2 stories above my head.

I still picture it in my mind. I still can vividly see the look of the finish on the body of the object and I can describe in detail the whole object, but I still do not have any answers to what this was. I bothers me sometimes because I know what I saw and the other 4 people with me seen it to.

If I would have taken a picture of it, it would have been the best picture and this bothers me to because I never even thought of grabbing my phone to take a picture of it when I got out of my car to look at it.

If you are interested in that sighting let me know because there is a lot more to that story. I have seen several things in my life and never reported them because I was not sure, but the one I reported to Mufon, I clearly know what I was and was not looking at.

On October 22nd 7:47 PM I saw a large black triangle fly over me. I was on Monterey Ct. right next to Silver Lake. I am only 15 and I honestly was petrified from seeing this. I couldn't move. I thought I heard a very quiet low sounding wind around 3 seconds after it passed.

It was around 300 feet up and was flying about 55 miles per hour. It had 5 dim slowly blinking lights on the two front sides and 4 dim slowly blinking lights on the back. I got a good view and if I could draw, I could show you about how big it was.

It was going directly north in a straight line and I was the only witness. Ever since then, I have not seen anything unusual, but have been very paranoid. I just want answers and not to get abducted.

I did research about abductions and I don't think I would be able to handle that kind of thing.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: While driving east on route 29/73 in Upper Frederick Township we observed a single reddish-orange ball of light above a tree line that was fairly close to the road. No other colors were visible from the object at any time of the display.

At first it did not appear to be moving and could have been mistaken for a radio tower light, except for the color and that there are no towers in this particular area. As we passed, we noticed several vehicles had pulled off of the highway with their lights on and assumed they were watching the light.

We travelled a few hundred feet and pulled into a driveway and the light appeared to have moved further from the road in a northerly direction which appeared to be toward the Red Hill/Green Lane area as the previous report cited. The light diminished in size and appeared to quickly blink out with surprising speed close to the general direction of two aircraft that were in the area at the time.

We turned our vehicle around to see if we could speak to the drivers who had pulled off of the road, but saw them slowly driving away within a few seconds of the object disappearing.

We were unable to determine size of the object as there were no points of reference. If it were a tower light, the light was large & bright enough that the tower would had to have been situated quite close to the roadway and nearby houses. T

Hi there, as I was at Bracelet Bay with my girlfriend (evening of 5th November), and we had to wait for the bus homewards, we saw, for sure 5 times, orange lights. They seemed to appear from the north, traveling towards sea (south). My guess was they flew above Gower, Southwest Wales-UK.

The lights were orange, not really bright, but constant (no flashing). At first we thought they were fireworks due to the remembrance day fireworks or fighter jets with afterburner on. I’m no expert in aviation, but I do know that planes have bright red, and flashing white lights.

Also the light traveled amongst a steady and linear path, which fireworks never do (curved path). Three of the lights traveled at the same path with intervals of say 5 minutes. The other two were lower on the horizon. The lights faded like, in a fraction of a second, as if they switched off.

Our location was Bracelet Bay. We sat on the parking lot of the restaurant at Mumbles lighthouse, and we looked westwards.

My girlfriend, living in Skewen (Wales), reminded me about the lights this morning, and mentioned she saw the same type of light from her bedroom window (eastbound, looking from Skewen towards Port Talbot) She said the light traveled the same direction, same colour, linear path and vanished after say half a minute.

She said, if you saw it you would be sure it wasn’t fireworks at all. Of course it could be some sort of jet plane (my first thought)but we don’t know if there’s any base around the area.

I’m not saying it was an UFO in a way of spacecraft, but I’m sure it wasn’t fireworks, and for a plane it looked to odd, I mean in the dark one can make out the lights, and they don’t. switch off al in the sudden (my guess).

Good evening Brian, after reading these blogs, I've decided to come forward with what we have seen. I'm tired of telling people and they think I'm speaking nonsense because I know what iv seen so I'm so glad I can tell you. In June we spotted these orange lights travelling from Fourways area towards Fishers Hill in Primrose.

We saw a total of 34 lights that night. Saturday night (last night) my mom saw another 12 travelling in the same direction.

I have my thoughts on what it could be, and if it is what I think then, I'm sure I know why they are here, but if anyone can explain then I'm really open to suggestions because at this point in time I'm not sure who to speak to because so many people are closed off to UFO spotting's and turn their back when you even mention a UFO.

I believe they are around and will make contact soon.

It descended at the back of the mountain and we waited 10 more minutes to see if it came back, but it didn't then the sun came and we took pictures and went back to camp, oh yes, we tried to take a picture of the object, but it didn't appear in the photo.

Then when I looked up toward the southwest, I seen what I thought at first was a flock of snow geese flying in a huge V formation. I watched it move slowly, just below cloud level. I could see it was the bottom of some large aircraft of some sort.

As I watched in awe as it moved across the sky lighting the clouds up like a giant headlight of some sort, I looked back after 10 or 20 seconds where I first noticed it and then I could see the giant top part of the ship with low flashing lights flashing from side to side.

I could not believe what I was seeing, it slowly moved without making a sound and went behind some clouds, then out of sight.

This thing was massive, at least a mile long maybe 2. The width I can’t say for sure, it certainly was not a plane or helicopter, so what the hell did I see !

I want to no if anybody else seen it to, but I don’t no how to go about it. Someone must have seen it? It took up half the sky. This incident has totally changed my life. There truly is some other life form out there. I now go outside at night with my wife and my camera, hoping it comes back so I can get some pictures.

I told my friend who then kept watching them and she saw them better than me, the three lights seemed to be connected in a triangle shape. They were maybe not more than 50 feet in the sky above and seemed very close, they were moving very slowly, practically hovering.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Very bright flame in the sky over Batavia, Illinois on a clear night. It looked like a burning orange ball of light that followed a straight line heading directly north from the south.

Seemed to be a bit higher than normal plane traffic, but for sure in our atmosphere. We followed it in the sky for about 4 minutes, it did nit change shape, size, or speed. No sound or lighting others than the glowing orange fire, with a slight tail.

From some angles a small shadow was cast and the object looked large. Skeptic here, but very interested in finding out more about this. Thanks.

Orange Flame Like Objects Over Brantford Ontario

Full Description of Event/Sighting: May 21 around 10:00 p.m. in Brantford, Ontario. There was no sound, but we saw this weird shaped orange light ascending in the sky over Brantford.

Then it kept moving extremely fast and hung around for at least 2-4 minutes. There were 6 witnesses. The sighting was also seen by a friend driving around the same area.

The night before the light was seen floating around downtown Brantford from another mutual friend, completely random.

Two Cylindrical UFO Close On One Another Over Texas/Oklahoma Border In Northeast Texas

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was driving home from Church on Easter Sunday night April 24th, 2011 on a desolate Farm to Market Road in Texas to Oklahoma where I reside. There is never hardly any traffic day or night on this Farm to Market Road.

The night was exceptionally clear and the stars were shining bright when I noticed this very bright star or at least that is what I perceived in the east, as I was driving east, but it suddenly dawned on me, that it was moving.

I eventually pulled my vehicle off to the side of the road, so get a better look, well this object came to a standstill and I could see it had red, green, yellow and white lights on it and it showed to be cylindrical in shape.

I just happened to glance to my left which faced north and I saw another object coming towards the other object that was at a standstill and it pulled up close to the other object and it had the same color lights on top and it showed that it was cylindrical in shape as well and it came to a standstill also. I could tell there was a space between the two objects.

I looked at my watch and it was 10:15 p.m. 5 minutes, after the second object stopped by the other one, I saw a bright red light proceed to the original object and it looked like how someone would roll out a "Red Carpet" as it was very wide. In my mind I thought this could be a laser of some kind.

Once this "Red Carpet" scenario took place within another 5 minutes as I looked at my watch again as it was 10:20 p.m., I saw what looked liked "black dots" or images moving on this "Red Carpet" toward the first object and this proceeded for 10 minutes and then the "black dots" or whatever stopped and I noticed my watch again and it was 10:30 p.m.

At 10:35 p.m. this "Red Carpet" whatever started to retract back toward the second object. At 10:45 p.m., the first object, started to move sideways and then lifted up and turned south and sped away at a high rate of speed and simply vanished. I definitely saw that it was cylindrical then for sure.

At 10:50 p.m. the second object turned sideways and lifted up and shot at a high rate of speed back to the north whence it had come from and it vanished and I definitely could tell it was cylindrical also. I am a stickler for keeping up with time.

Whatever I saw that Easter Sunday night of April 24th, 2011 was very strange indeed as I do not know if this second object was making a transfer of some sort to the first object or what it was doing.

I have not told anyone about this incident, as I did not want to be classified as a "nutcase" but I felt like I needed to share with you about this strange observation and whether you publish this or not, does not matter to me as I am not out for publicity and I do not drink or do drugs of any kind.

I have however thought of this incident many times since and I have wondered what these two cylindrical objects were up too and how they left at a high rate of speed and simply vanished.
